The Memory Project exhibit, film and educational programs had an opening at the Municipal Culture Center in Skarżysko-Kamienna. This was an especially meaningful event because it is the town where Anna was imprisoned in a Nazi forced labor camp and met Jack, the man she would marry after the war.
It is particularly moving to us that this exhibit telling our family story is being respected and honored in the places where it happened, and that Polish people are learning the history as seen through our eyes and felt through our hearts. They are participating in workshops where they create portraits and learn the stories of many Jewish people, survivors and those murdered by the Nazis, and they share and are moved by the art and stories. Thanks to our partners at the Galicia Jewish Museum.
